Britta McKenna
Britta W. McKenna works at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy serving IMSA as its Chief Innovation Officer. She is the founder of the Steve and Jamie Chen Center for Innovation & Inquiry (IN2). IN2 is the first secondary school innovation center in the nation and received the 2017 Chicago Innovation Award. Britta was named Batavia’s Citizen of the Year with husband Steven and has been active in the Batavia community for over 25 years. Britta received her BA from the University of Minnesota and her MPA from NIU. She lives in Batavia with her husband, Steven; they have two grown sons, Kyle (Karen) and Owen (Natalie).
